As I'm driving down the highway in Florida, I'm admiring the bright white glow off in the distance. I pass a sign informing me that off to the east is disney world. The white glow is just the shimmer of the magic being admitted by mickey mouse and friends. As I'm admiring the light, and peacefulness of no cars on the road at 2 am, I can't help but remember my family's spring break trip when I was in 8th grade, our Disney World adventure. A week to explore the wonder that's the world of walt disney. A time for me to run into people I ran into a couple years before in Idaho. Yes that's all true. Weird as it may be. The one time I had enough luck to win something. A weekend get away to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Seems boring enough but I met a girl. Little did I know a couple years later, I’d meet the same girl nearly 3 thousand miles away at the pool of our hotel at Disney World. Ya, it's a small world. No I haven't seen her since.
Oh Disney world how I miss you. Actually I think I just miss being a kid. Adulting is hard. Getting up at 1 am to make deliveries is hard.
With that said I want to go back a bit to talk about 8th grade. I took up running the summer between 7th and 8th. When I say took up running, I mean I started running every day. Like several miles a day and I enjoyed it. As I got into the best shape of my life. The one year in my life, I actually had a six pack. Stress and hormones through high school covered up my six pack even with running 10 plus miles a day. But not in 8th grade, I was killing it. Especially on our trip to Disney world. I could have done with out all the teen age acne and braces lol. But I was killing it.
