Yay at the U.S. Senate voting 65-31 to repeal DADT
It was a dumb law to begin with. No other place in the U.S. has such a policy so why should Military have been any different? I know I stand virtually alone amongst my family when it comes to DADT. Last Thanksgiving of 09', I had an argument with my Air Force brothers over it. My oldest bro is still serving(in Iraq right now ) and he was skeptic about ending DADT. My other brother was in the Air Force in the late 90's but got out around 99. He was the main one I was tussing with. I really think that somewhere during my formation, some of my genes were replaced the genes of a hippie . I am from one of the most conservative, backward thinking areas of Texas and I have always thought differently than a lot of my peers and family members. My mom and dad raised me to think for myself and they didn't push me into thinking a certain way. My views were shaped by the many liberal folk who weren't racist and treated me like I was one of them. My best friend in Arkansas is a hippie too and we've been friends since we were 9 years old lol.
On another note, I went out Saturday night and took 2 tokes of a joint. I hadn't smoke that green sticky in 9 or more years. I had a bad experience right before my 21st birthday and vowed to never smoke again. I kept that vow until that night. It wasn't bad. It got me high quick lol. But since my job tests our pee pee everytime we got a promotion or get into a wreck while driving the company vehicle or just for the hell of it, I can't toke it up. It did feel good though lol
I completely hate the Dirty Dancing sample but this song has grown on me....
I am going to put it on repeat as I drive my friends to Austin for NYE lol
I also got another car.....
