Holy hell it's hot out there today *phew* Doesn't it realise that Snowball's melt in the hot sun

Job situation
I finish work a week today. And right now, I can't wait. I had my "exit interview" given to me today. So, I've made sure I've aired my grievances on it, seeing as it gets posted by me direct to Head Office in Leicester. I've sung my bosses praises, because in all fairness he did what he could to try and get me to stay, it was the store manager who was being the dickhead over it all. I've also made a point of mentioning that I hope the rest of the staff are kept to the store contracted hours from now on, seeing how a couple of them are seemingly able to chop and change their hours when it suits them, otherwise I will see it as a case for unfair dismissal (even though I resigned and didn't actually get dismissed). Will be interesting to see if Head Office follow up on that.
But moving on, I have a registration interview with a job agency on Friday morning and she is very positive about being able to find me a job. I registered online with them over the weekend for some jobs that sounded interesting to me, and as soon as I turned on my email and phone this afternoon, there were messages saying "Please call us, we would like to arrange a meeting to discuss possible opportunities".
So, it looks like I could very well end up back in the sector where I was before I had my kids. Back in a finance office somewhere. Which means I need to sort out childcare, BUT I've found a childminder who charges very, very reasonable rates, and the money I would earn full-time would MORE than compensate having to pay her in the school holidays. AND I wouldn't have to work weekends, OR bank holidays ever again.
Maybe this will all actually be a blessing in disguise. Although I have been out of a finance and office environment for over 5 years now, so it will be a little struggle getting back into it all again. My brain may be too dead to cope with numbers again
So, keep everything crossed for me that I will be back to earning a decent wage very soon. If I can, then I envisage my debt being wiped out by the New Year
Which in turn will mean that I will be able to afford more trips and *gasp* maybe a family holiday next year
Seeing as we haven't had a family holiday in about 4 years, I think we'll deserve one by then!
Another thing is that I will have to do some clothes shopping. I have NO interview attire at all. My current position allows me the luxury of wearing jeans and trainers
Guess I may be using my discount card for the final time this week, buying suits and blouses!
London
11 days and I'm back
Going to have a lot of fun
Eels gig on 23rd and Sky's party the next night.
Only
might be that there is a rail strike planned for the very day I travel home now! Oh well, guess I'll just wait and see what happens when I turn up at Paddington
