I've always considered things like robots resembling humans to be mildly frivolous, this afternoon i read about a japanese scientist who was building robots to preserve intangible things like traditional dances.
he was programming robots to perform traditional dances in order to preserve the past, i've never thought about robotics in such a way and i find it very amazing in a way.
a very unique meeting of traditional history and future, somehow it's very inspiring.
I also saw grave of the firefly tonight, i thought it was heartbreaking and it hurts me to think that such things are still going on all over the world.
if you've never seen this movie i really recommend it because sometimes we need to be reminded of the suffering in the world in order to remember how to fully appreciate what we have.
