today is a good day, i woke up this morning to pee around 4am, normally you'd say urgh and wish you were asleep but as i was walking downstairs every single bird in the neighbourhood broke out in song simultaniously.
they do that every day for about 20 minutes but normally i miss it since they do it around 4 am.
it was so pretty i just opened a window and pulled up a chair, 4am or not there is no better way to start your day.
sure enough those happy birds were the start of a beautifull day, the kind where you really don't want to get any work done.
after wasting time for a bit i went outside and i noticed this little snail sitting on a piece of wood in a wheelbarrow standing in our garden.
I decided i'd like to meet the little fellow so with a spraybottle of water and some leaves of the snails favourite plant i coersed it to leave it's little shell.
anyway i spend the next hour watching the little guy travel over the piece of wood, down the wheelbarrow and towards a old flowerpot standing near the wall.
I like snails, they're simple little creatures but somehow just sitting back for a hour and watching the world at a snails pace is just what you need to realise how beautifull the world can be if you look at it in that special way.
i took some pictures, if you want to see more i got 16 of them in the snail folder in my picture section.
(number 3 is by far my favourite and well worth a look )
(editted to change my favourite number, i numbered the pics but SG decided to number them differently)
