Nowt of interest to update with...
Today I bought The Greatest by Cat Power, the first album I have bought of hers. Got to say I was slightly underwhelmed on first listening. I had heard a couple of songs from previous albums and they were very, very good but this album kinda reminded me of Mazzy Star - and I sold the only Mazzy Star album I had a long time ago.
I mean, it's nice but all rather dull. Maybe it's a grower.
I also bought Mezmerize by System of a Down at long last. Still to listen to it though. I'm sure it'll be grand.
On the work front my fellow receptionist blokey managed to break his shoulder yesterday whilst attempting to show off a visiting member of staff's child to the rest of the people upstairs in the office. He opened a door and promptly fell over a work-man and shattered his shoulder. The kid was fine though - she landed on top of him and used him as a lovey bouncey pillow!
So, given the other admin bum like me is ALSO off with a broken shoulder I fear we are cursed and I plan on sitting cowering in a corner, never to move again. Maybe I could just buy some shoulder armour? Then i could run pull pelt into brick walls and STILL not succumb to the curse...
So yeah, I have two months without anyone who knows the job.... lovely....
I dreamt of zombies the other night. This was following on from my midget clown whose hand I nailed to a table dream of the night before. Going to sleep this week has been an experience. I don't even take drugs.....
So, for any Glasgow (or surrounding areas) SG'ers - come see my band Southpaw perform in Rufus T Firefly, Hope Street, on Tuesday 21 February - approx 9pm kick off.
