I was thrilled to find some new material available for viewing on my favourite web-site today....

Fat-Pie

For anyone who may stumble across my journal and hasn't yet sampled the delights of the twisted mind of David Firth please venture forth and click on the above linkie.

I would recommend Salad Fingers 1 - 7 followed by the Burnt Face Man adventures. There are many...

Nowt of interest to update with...

Today I bought The Greatest by Cat Power, the first album I have bought of hers. Got to say I was slightly underwhelmed on first listening. I had heard a couple of songs from previous albums and they were very, very good but this album kinda reminded me of Mazzy Star - and I sold the only Mazzy Star...

OK

I've had a lifelong phobia of travelling. A strange thing I hear you cry but basically I've never made it out of the UK. Furthest Ive managed to drag myself is down to London on a train. This was last year after a hypnotherapy session.

Is this normal? Who knows.

Anyway, I'm seriously giving thought this year to forcing myself onto a plane for...

I am currently watching a hilarious queens of the stone age video where a superbly hairless naked man with a fantastic moustache is playing air guitar with his penis and dancing manically.

I think everyone really does know this man is insane now.... (get the reference eh Eh EH?)

Hmmm.... this has been followed by the Yeah Yeah Yeah's. I think I need to check...

Reading through other journals on SG I begin to realise how tediously dull I am.

Hmmm, be glad horrible things aren't happening? Or go out and find something exciting?

I hate getting stuck in routines...

Well, don't say I didn't tell you.....

Had a traumatic day of finding out what the singer in my band's intentions were and working myself up to get angry at him...

however, when he hit me with a 4 page email of his reasons for wanting to quit the band I could hardly fault him. He knows we only play music for fun and don't...

OK, Friday night and I guess being back at work this week maybe wasn't so bad. Yeah, it's kinda rubbish getting up at 7am and getting home at 6pm when it's dark and rainy and windy but hey, it pays the bills and keeps me flush with whichever DVD's I fancy this month....

I think next on my list will be either The Jacket, The...

Hmmm....

the mysterious cat came back this morning! Same time as yesterday - I was awoken by it's satanic meowing and scratching at my front door.

This time I let it in to wander around my hall and I named it Ginger Snaps. I have a feeling it will never leave me alone.

Maybe the cat is specially trained by it's burglar owner to case the joint?

You're in SG Scotland now, go and make your presence felt...

Does it bring you little gifts or just shit everywhere like my cat ?

Sitting around bored watching the X-Files and thought - HEY - let's write random nonsense in the journal.

Had a creepy cat incident today. Was getting myself ready to go out and heard the noise of what I thought was a small child in the stairwell outside my flat. Anyway, the 'child' was making these noises for a good 5 minutes and as I slung...

That is the best fucking profile pic I've ever seen. Were you at the final show (Halloween 2005)?

Thanks will always be to John Reis for having (and continuing to have) such a profound influence on my life.

Rocket From The Motherfucking Crypt.
sneakydave:
I was NOT at the final show although if I had the cash and I lost my phobia of flying then I would have been there like a shot.

RFTC mean so much to me all the way back to Circa Now when I discovered it on vinyl and was taken in by the front cover.

Best band in the world ever. Best live act I've ever seen. Best frontman. He's a really cool guy too, I met him once after a show and he just talked away to me and some friends and is an excellent guy!

They will be sorely missed.

Oh, and Hot Snakes too - can't believe they split at the same time. But I got to see them just before the split so that was cool!

Well, it's time to put up my first journal entry.

Not that anyone would be interested but hell, I just want to see my name in lights.

Anyway, my band got our first gig today so that's good. Been rehearsing for maybe 2 months and have eventually got round to booking somewhere to play. February 21st is the date!!

It's been 5 years since I...

so how you doing?
sneakydave:
Right now I am tired.... I have just risen from my slumber and have realised I must clean my flat as we have some people coming over tonight for a polite drink - Cue scenes of smashed windows and curtains on fire - and I really can't be bothered cleaning.

Still, can't complain - I HAVE had 2 and a half weeks off for my Christmas break from work. Monday is the dreaded day of return.

So, do you play an instrument in the band as well as sing?
