cant believe i forgot to put this on here but...
the other night we had to drive a couple guys to a different base. thats pretty normal we do it a couple times a week. so we get there and drop them off and a couple guys come up and start talking to us. theres nothing unusual with that either until they asked us where we were going. we told them and they said "hey, could you do us a favor and take this dead body we got in the back of our truck to the morgue there." that caught all of us a little of guard. we asked who they were and they told us special forces operators, and proceeded to explain how they got the body. apparently they were driving down the highway and went buy a us convoy that had stopped. so they went to check it out and the convoy had a tracktor trailer blown up and the driver dead. the soilders in the convoy didnt want the body so they left it to the sf guys who couldnt really do anything with it either, until we showed up that is. so we decide we have nothing better to do so we'll take it. we toss it in a body bag drag it over to our humvees and having no where else to stick it threw it in the backseat of one of the humvees. now we drive back to our base to find the morgue, which we cant find. so now we're driving around looking for a morgue at 2 in the morning, everyones tired and just wants to go to sleep so we stop at a hospital and ask them to take it. they wont but they tell us where the morgue is, dont know why we didnt ask them in the first place but oh well. so now we go to the morgue, and wouldnt you know it no ones there. i mean its only around 3 in the morning now, there should be someone there. being overf tired and sick of carting around this dead body we open up one of the freezer trucks where they store the dead bodies and toss him in there. we put a note on their desk and go home to get some sleep.
all in all it was a very interesting night.
