Quite a good weekend. I went and visited with EnergyChannel and BabyBlue Saturday evening and had quite a good time as usual. We always seem to talk about food for hours on end. I figure that's ok since we're all fans of food and whatnot. It keeps us from dying and wasting away like a Lohan. We went to a new (to me) place that served Middle Eastern fare, which I'm a pretty big fan of. So yeah, I guess the terrorists have won in belly. It was quite good. We tend to kind of eat off each others plates so we can all try a little of this and a little of that. The beef shawarma was pretty killer, as was the hummus and pita. The falafel was also good, but maybe a little heavy for me to eat a lot of. The real star was some little meat pie things I can't remember the name of. Full of meat, and goodness, and pine-nuts. Mmmm. Actually, now that I think about it the pie came in a short second to the ass of the Lebanese woman serving tables opposite us. It, however, was not available as carry-out.
Following that was a party at someones house. I don't know who, but my associates did. That being said, I did my best to consume as much liquor of theirs as possible. That also did well to belay my feelings of shabbiness in the presence of people much more well-dressed than I. Luckily that night I wore my good potato sack.

The little meat pies with pine nuts in them were probably kibbeh. I love 'em.
