I'm back!
We had a great vacation to Egypt.
Didn't start out so well before leaving Greenland, coz our plane was cancelled due to bad weather (it snowed quite a lot, it really sucked). But we flew the day after, so that was ok.
Went to Sharm El-Sheikh in Sinai. It's a city that only exists due to tourism, it's not even 30 years old, an old beduin village. Some divers came by some time ago and found it was a great place to dive, and so the city is there now.
Sooooooo many tourists, it was crazy. And way too many Russians. I don't have anything against Russians, but it was really annoying because everybody started speaking Russian to us. -Even the locals! They're really bad at English, but it seems they speak Russian quite well. I guess it's because the Russians don't speak English either. One of our Danish guides told us that 40,000 Russians go there every week! That's like 30 planes every day...
Anyway, we went snorkling, swimming, walked around quite a bit and ate a heck of a lot of good food. All in all it was a great time, and my man J is so easy to be with. You should think we would become just a little tired or annoyed with each other during those 14 days, but not at all! We had such a good time together. Even stuck in a little hotel room (not that we spent a lot of time there, but...).
After that we had 4 very stressful days in Denmark. Dinner with J's family, a whole day with my parents in another part of the country to visit my brother and his girlfriend (which was great), went to the movies (saw Quantum of Solace that just had it's premiere on Friday, I liked it better than Casino Royale, and it's nice to see some of our Danish actors in Hollywood movies ) and then we had one day where we went to our firm and got to join some air traffic controllers at work, went to the tower and such. It was cool.
Came back to Kangerlussuaq yesterday. I had the day off today, so I've been vacuming and unpacking and such and then I went to work to have lunch with J and attend a personnel meeting.
It's nice to be back with my cats, I've missed them, but it's really cold here (-20 deg. C now) and so much static electricity, so I cant touch my cats without them getting a shock. I have quite mixed feelings about being back. If it hadn't been for J I would've been really sad.
Oh, and guess what!
I'M GOING TO VEGAS !!!!
Yeah! My boss called me in Denmark the day before we left for Egypt and told me that I could get the time off. So I'll be celebrating the New Year with my man in Las Vegas. How awesome is that?! My first trip to the States, I'm so excited! I'm gonna shop till I drop and try bring some luck for J at the poker tables.
I'll try to upload some pics tomorrow or so.

Yea that is just a fact of life not finding a job. I am glad though my makes enough for both of us. Then again I wouldn't have set foot in this state if it wasn't for her. It is a give and take situation. Oh well that is life. I have things to do around the house and build my Vespa etc.
