SHOW MY KITTY SOME LOVE!!!!
My poor little Felix has pain in his paw.
He's my little sick kitty. I think it may be a boil in the front paw, he definitely does not want me touching it to check it, yesterday he even cried in pain which I've never heard him do before. He's usually not the whining type.
Also, I've had like two vets check him out here, I've been lucky to catch them while they were in town since we usually don't have a vet here. He has upper respiratory problems, but the last vet assured me that he has no pains and he's not suffering. But he sneezes a lot and sprays the apartment with yellow snot and it's really really gross. I was told the snot was a good thing because it meant the infection should be leaving the body or something like that, but he's been at it for about 2 months and it EVERYWHERE in the apartment. He's been on antibiotics 3-4 times during those 11 months we've been here and it helped each time, for a while. then the abundance of mucus comes back.
So, I figured I'd better call up the vet in another town once again and have a little chat with her. She suspects it to be a feline herpes virus which will never leave the body. But once in a while there will be a bacterial infection and then it's okay for me to give him antibiotics. Like 2-3 times a year. So, we have this service center where you can get a hunting license, report new address and stuff like that, and aparantly they sell antibiotics (for the dogs in town). I went and got something called Ronaxan I believe and it's a wide spectre drug so it should also kill my poor Felix's foot infection.
However, some cats can take ill to this drug so please keep your fingers crossed that Felix will take it well.
Yeah, I know I worry too much about my cat, but I love him....
