We got to meet Dick Dale today! biggrin love
He's in Denmark, played a concert yesterday. I was way too tired to go, but Ren went. Unfortunately, it was completely sold out, so he couldn't get a ticket and had to go home again. frown Well, a sad thing for my man, a good thing for Dick Dale. biggrin

Anyway, we went to the movies today (saw Borat), and Ren looks at this guy a few rows in front of us, saying he looks like Dick Dale. When the film was over, we could hear he was American, so we kinda followed him, until Ren finally asked if he was in fact Dick Dale, and he was! He was really nice, shook our hands, gave an autograph and asked us to e-mail him coz he always answers all of his e-mails.
So I guess that's why my dear man didn't get to see the concert yesterday, he was meant to meat the guitar legend, the king of the surf guitar, Mr Dick Dale himself.
We're so psyked! eeek

AS a truck driver I can work and drive for 70 hours a week!!! I am gone 5 to 6 days driving about 8 to 11 hours a day. frown It pays very well.....but the hours suck!!! I wish I was on a German or Danish work week!! 37 to 39 is awesome!!! Here in the states a regular job is about 40 hours a week; 8 hours a day......but rarely do you see under 40. Most companies like to work their employees to death!!! blackeyed I was offered a job in Ireland a while back, but said no since it was 6 days a week. If I travel that far for a job....I want to enjoy my off time....not sleep! Oh and vacation time is not very good. first year is only one week at most places.....and some places have a maximum of 2 or 3 weeks vacation.

I try and do as many charity "runs" as possible. I have fun doing them and it helps people who are in need. Most people don't like us (bikers) but rarely know how much we give to our communities. We never ask for any acknowledgement in what we do....we just do it! blush

well settleed well?..umm yes and no.
I love my university... I am going out frequently, I have more friends in here now than lebanon...but still hate my flat, hate my roommates...
need to get out of the contract, need to find someone to replace me...preferable chinese, because he will find himself right at home...
