i just got back from the down and dirty rally. it was a blast and more on that to follow....
but, at the moment...i gotta get this off my chest:
why the fuck does it seem that anytime a guy has dinner with a girl there is some sort of underlying expectation that he pays? friday night i went to dinner with my friend who went with me....stricly platonic....and when the check comes for dinner i reach for my credit card (because i don't have cash to pay for it) and she does nothing. the bill was $70 after tip. i had a $10 sandwich and two $6 appetizers (seafood gumbo and oysters on the 1/2 shell). so my food was $22 tops. add my iced tea and i'm looking at $24. it cost me fucking $70 for that $24 meal.
what does my friend say? 'thanks for dinner'. At no time did i offer to pay for dinner...i just wasn't gonna walk out on the check. twice more it happened when we were at places and she didn't have the right amount of cash.
but other then those instances i had a fanfucktingtastic time at the rally. friday night was about 85 scooters on the ride. saturday was about 35 for the long ride...and it was hella long. about a 7 hour road trip....my ass was tired, my back hurt and if i had a pussy that would have been hurting also.
can't wait till next year. and the b&b we stayed at rocked http://olivierestate.com
