::sigh::
My mom turned 42 today. I feel like everyone keeps getting older, yet nobody ever ages in my mind. Does that ever happen to you? Where you constantly refer to someone as, say, 3 years younger than they are? I'm still about 16... my sister is 12... and my mom is about 35 or so.
College is fast approaching. I bought 8 of the 9 books I'll need for my fall term, and it was under $150. I'm rather thrilled with that, since I know quite a few people who paid over twice that. It still hasn't sunk in that soon I will be living somewhere else, starting a whole new round of school. Shawn and I will be at different schools too, so that will be interesting, I suppose. I always thought of college as the high school relationship's arch nemesis, although I really hope I'm wrong.
My roommate seems cool, she emailed me the other day and seemed eager to be friendly. I'm glad she isn't a cunt. Yet. Maybe she'll want to work out with me. I honestly think the thing I am most looking forward to is the great gyms I will have free (well, 30grand a year, haha) access to. I don't have any of that stuff here, unless I wanted to use Shawn's and be at the mercy of his supervision and feel lame because I have very little muscle yet.... Haha. I even bought a book on weight lifting today at Barnes and Noble because it was on sale and I thought I could use it. So excited.
Still need to be a mattress pad... Sleeping on those beds creeps me the fuck out.
I also was informed today that my schedule is pretty much stuck as is and I will be working very few hours at the doctor's office. One of my classes, Honors Psych, is the only one offered in the fall, and my English class is a sophomore class that can't be changed. I'm going to have to work at Hooters or something, haha
I'm also supposed to be getting a new laptop, but it hasn't come yet... I'm such an impatient little fuck.
