FIELD OF SCREAMS
Lancaster PA
This haunt had some amazing sets, I mean FUCKING spectacular! there are 2 walk through attractions and a hayride. Normally I am not really a fan of hayrides because lets face it they are normally the lower budget of the attractions on the site for any haunt. Dude so NOT true for field of screams the hayride was amazing they had the norm for what hayrides normally have. Toxic avenger type set, rednecks, Jason Vorheese the usual BUT OH MY GOD THE ONE BARN it was a butcher scene but DUDE pigs came out of the ceiling! and sprayed water to make it like blood! it was awesome i loved it. Then there were the 2 walk through attractions now its been a few weeks since I went there so I'm a little fuzzy on what scenes went where, but again they killed it with the scenes some of the best I have ever seen aside from pennhurst and eastern state but they have amazing sets for obivious reasons. But the main rooms that stuck out were the clown room, I fucking hate clowns I hate them they suck. What was really awesome about it though was it was all funhouse themed and they had the scent in the foggers that SMELLED LIKE FUCKING COTTON CANDY. brilliant. and there was a FUCKING SILENT HILL ROOM. in my oppinion it could have been done better they had the maniquins dressed as the nurses and some actors in there but they werent dressed as the nurses but alot of the actors were underage so i would feel real uncomfortable seeing a 12 yr old dressed like that. One of the final scares a camera timed shot like for rollar coasters. there is only one other haunt that i know of that does that and its in Niagra Falls Canada, Nightmares fear factory. I'm not going to tell you the scare but from what pictures I see floating around Nightmares takes the cake. Field of screams is kind of miss timed. The only issue that I saw with Field of Screams was the acting ability they are a volenteer haunt so the acting is sub par. Although they totally make up for it with the sets well worth checking out. It is more of a kid friendly haunt they have carnival food and games as well. I give this 3 out of 5 stars.

Massively dissapointing is all I can say. I realize I don't scare easily but as you can tell from my above review the ability to scare me dosen't factor into my oppion of a good haunt. There are also 3 attractions to Shock one is a hayride with 2 walk throughs. The first attraction "the unknown" I expected the world of this attraction they give you 3D glasses. Although my eyes are fucked and 3D gives me nothing but a headache I expected this to be amazing considering the amount of money they must have poured into the 3D aspect of it. WRONG it was possibly the worst Attraction I have ever been to. They talked of playing on your phobias to an extreme and it just failed. Over half of the attraction was nothing but pitch black hallways, and in my oppion that is a cop out for those who lack the vision to make a great set. Also one thing that gets me to jump almost everytime are air cannons. Well they had them, but they were used improperly. Very ineffective. One or two dark hallways or rooms can be really effective to dissorient for a future scare but I am not even kidding over half of this attraction was pitch black with out ANY actors in the hallways. Then there was the prison they shuttle you to the attraction in an old school bus that smelled of deisel fuel, that part was awesome. The crowd entertainment for this attraction was also awesome a girl acting as a crazed inmate. She did a SUPER job very entertaining. The set for this was pretty cool, but almost no actors in the place. For real going through rooms with zero actors in it kind of sucks. I wouldnt even consider the sets amazing but they were pretty cool. A lot of the sets did not make sense with the prison theme. there were alot of outside woods scenes that made no sense with no actors. I do however need to give a shout out to the boy in the bathroom/dorm cell scene. Dude you killed it, that crazy crawl thing you did was awesome. He really worked the flickering lights to get right up in your face as the lights went off then BAM there he is. Hats off to you sir you didnt scare me but you really killed it. he didnt even break character when we asked him to do it again for the rest of our group to see. and this kid couldnt have been more than 16. He and the crowd entertainer girl were the best actors in the place. She even came out to the bar after with us- she is a mad cool chick who is a an exact doppleganger with Soda who you all have seen photos of. Now onto the hayride, pretty generic but a few of the actors were pretty good. The sets are what you would expect for a hayride.
This is a place to take children too they also have games and food. Not a great haunt if you live in the area and have kids that want to go get the cupons or get the group rate. I would say not worth full price maybe pick one attraction probably the hay ride or prison I would skip the unknown. I give this haunt 1 out of 5 stars and thats only because of the 2 actors I mentioned above.
Only 2 for now I am checking out Times Scare for an interview and walkthrough on wednesday and HOPEFULLY blackout soon. I want to go SO FUCKING BAD i hear they TOURTURE you. Check it out on the google.
I actually got to walk through Pennhurst asylum last week, I work there so I'm obivously bias but everyone killed it I got to go through the Asylum and the tunnels, cant check out the dungen of lost souls because that is my section but I am going to try to work asylum one night so I can check it out.
But go to Pennhurst we are hands down the scariest haunt around, playing on actual fears. No chainsaws, no horror movie refrences just medical themed and creepy as all fuck. Come see me, my fiance, my 2 roommates get the piss scared out of you. you can get cupons for 5 dollars off at 13haunts.com get there early Saturday we hit max compacity by like 9 oclock. Come early get tickets/food then stand in line. If you hate lines get there at like 6-630 lines fill up FAST

I really need to start hitting some haunted houses and events around here. I may even be headed to Austin for Halloween, but I haven't totally decided if I can afford to miss the school. I've kinda been a bit of a flake lately.

I've been to Field of Screams, and Jason's Woods and enjoyed both.. I recently went to this place in South Jersey called Night of Terror, which I thought was very good.. 6 attractions for just $25, my favorite being the 3-D Funhouse and Mayhem of darkness, (you go through the whole thing in pitch darkness!). What I would REALLY like to try is the place in NYC called Blackout, you have to sign a consent form, 18+ to enter, and you MUST go through alone! Try to find the website for info, vids, and comments... It's sold out for the rest of this season.
