As I'm naturally impatient, I tend to get really frustrated before going away.
I need a break from this city and it's people... and there's no where else better to go than up north. Lombardina to be precise (200km north of Broome). It used to be a Spanish Mission... you know, one of those places where western people teach aboriginal people about the joys of christianty. I'm being too cynical. The nuns and the monks provide a wonderful service in a region that is as remote as remote can be.
I might try and get a flight up to Broome late next week. A return ticket is about $600... amazing when you consider that you are still travelling within your own state. My friend Ryan is making the 200km trip down to pick me up... he's a top bloke! We might spend a few night's in Broome showing the backpackers some Aussie hospitality... especially the German ones !
After that who knows... I think Ryan wants to take me inland, maybe to Fitzroy Crossing... should be fabbo.
I'll be sure to take as much camera gear and film as possible. There's something about the rugged beauty of the outbake that implies this amazing sense of timelessness... and since I'm not very good with time, I should feel quite at home.
In other news: Greece won Euro. As the token skippy, I got called into work the day after. Everyone was exstatic, my boss even gave me lunch... pastitsio and Greek coffee... I was as full as a state school!
Anyhooz, I best go... Ta-ta!
