whew. busy week.
Cut out of my internship early today. Everyone seems to be in holiday mode already. We made smores at work.
I had band practice for two hrs. last night. Yea! Fun. It makes me happy. I need to practice more though. Still am not nailing a couple of songs.
I found out this past weekend that one of my old roomates who I havent seen since I moved here (4/01/03) is finally coming to visit me along with my only girlfriend. Im so happy. I miss him so much. And he is bringing his portfolio (he's a peircer) just in case he decides to look for work while he is out here. ANYONE KNOW OF A SHOP LOOKING FOR A PIERCER?
That would be great. His best friend is moving to Ocean City, MD in a month, so I think hes ready to bust out of Cinci too.
So I have one week to sell him on the area. Hes never been to NYC, but all he asks is that I take him to some cool bars. Gee, lower east side. Selling him on Jersey is going to be a little harder. Plus last he heard the band Im in was looking for a bass player. He plays bass, and is better then me. He might only move here if he is in a band.
Background: my present roomate aka boyfriend also use to live with the guy coming to visit. I lived with a band. They were in a band together before. My boyfriend was using the bass player needed position to try to get him out here. As of a week ago the position has been filled by yours truly. So, what if he wont move out here once he discovers the position is filled. Worse yet, what if my boyfriend would rather have his old bass player back? I dont think I want to give it up. He is better though. I am trying to be in a boys club as usual.

Worry about that when the time comes I suppose. He probably wont move out here anyway. Cost of living might be a bit much for him to handle.
So I think Im going to a BBQ out in the middle of no-where for the 4th. Last year I went to FDR in Philly. (the skatepark) Whats everyone else up to?
