I finally said no to this alt-country band that were virtually begging me to come play piano/organ and guitar for them. It might have been fun, playing originals plus covers by the likes of Big Star, Wilco, and Counting Crows, but they wanted to do to much mainstream crap like the Eagles and Dire Straits which I will just not be a part of. So, the search for a halfway interesting band to play with in Houston continues. Damn I wish I were some kinda of musical genius and a better songwritier so i could just make records and do shows all by myself like Jon Brion. Why is it so hard to find like-minded people? I can't be that unique as far as musical taste can I, even in Houston?
