My cat Odin died. He'd lived with my Mom since he was diagnosed with diabetes about six years ago. He was apparently attacked by a pair of loose dogs outside my mom's house in Bastrop. She had been letting him spend more time outside lately because of incontinence problems and because he liked being outdoors. They didn't actually physically harm him but my mom thinks the shock was just too much for his frail heart. His health has been declining for the past several months. The vets have been saying he's not long for this world for years now and he's defied their odds. It's a shame that something like this took him when he'd struggled and overcome his illness for so long. He was 14-1/2 years old and we'd had him since the day he was born. He was a sweet old fat cat and I'll miss him a lot.
Here he is at around 16Lbs before his health declined:
and later at less than 10lbs. He dropped to about 7Lbs at his lowest.

I don't know what I'd do if I lost either of my pups.
