So the "I'm not introducing myself to ANYONE, they can come to ME!" pledge hasn't lasted long. I've just posted on the "I'm new" thread and await a MASSIVE response. Or not.
What's the etiquette with making your first tentative steps in the SG community? Did you feel embarressed adding your first friend? I'm scared, lonely and a little cold...
I had a pretty shitty weekend, my parents and sister came up to manc which I was psyched about but I was in a horrific sukly mood all weekend and now my mum's all worried about me, which sucks.
Happily, I ran around like an idiot playing football this afternoon and am feeling far more cheery than I was. I think some hardcore exercise action was just what I needed. Joy.
How are you? How was your weekend?
Take it easy

It was ages after i joined SG that I actually began to 'post', and a while after that that I ventured to request someone's friendship. I felt very awkward & he was curious as to why I'd asked him (we have a common interest in Thin Lizzy) but he added me. You just have to jump in. As slimjim said, commenting is the best way to get yourself known. You could always check out the "No friends' group for others in the same situation too.
