Talk about jet lag. I'd rather be in Sweden like I was yesterday.
Norway is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and I even smuggled some whale sausage through customs without declaring it. Eat your heart out, Greenpeace.
I think I'll fly to New Mexico to see dredg in October.
One of the most striking parts of my journey was visiting the American military cemetary at Omaha beach in Normandy. I've never visited a place that has moved me so close to tears - no amount of research or reading first-hand accounts of the invasion could have prepared me for witnessing it in the flesh. I damn near broke down when leaving the cemetary and reading the following inscription:
"This embattled shore, portal of freedom, is forever hallowed by the ideals, the valor, and the sacrifices of our fellow countrymen."
You're goddamned right it is.
