Thursday night was a little different. It began with me sitting at home finishing off my struggle with whatever microbe has most recently colonized my head, throat and chest. Around 11 pm I found out that I, in fact, wasn't going on a date the following night. Two hours later, I'm driving to Atlanta. Everyonce in a while I do something like this. It's good for me.

Friday night Brian and I saw "Blade Trinity." I won't try to convince anyone to see the flick, but I enjoyed it. Also, Brian and I shared two odd moments of bliss during the movie. Independently, we both lit up:
1- when Parker Posey showed up playing an ultra-hip vampire with unfortunately bad hair
2- when, in midst of yet another choreographed ass-whipping, one of the vampire hunters performed a textbook beautiful grappling move (juji gatame)

In addition to hanging out with friends, I scored some loot. Brian gave me my xmas presents early . . . 2 dvd's from my wishlist. I also walked away with a kick-ass teeshirt. However, I will have to hit the gym pretty hard before i can wear it. Maybe I can wear it if i keep my coat on. Damn love handles.

I drove back this afternoon. I'm tired and still coughing a little and bored.
