So yeah.
I've been neglecting SG as of late.
The main reason is, I've been writing a whole lot. I figured, I have a whole lot of ideas and instead of thinking "gee wizz, that'd make a good script" and writing them down in the notebook to be discovered at a later date, I've been developing the ideas and writing scripts.
Even though a lot of these ideas never come to fruition I'm finding the writing process a learning curve, truly invaluable.
In other news;
I'm making an effort to explore my other interests in the new year. For example I'm going to start Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in the new year. I was always interested but what got me really into the idea of starting training BJJ was this instance;
A friend of mine invited me along to a rolling (BJJ sparring) session with a few friends, among who was a BJJ brown belt and a Judo purple belt. Now, I've never been taught BJJ but I've watched a lot of BJJ and "Submission 101" videos on Youtube.
Over the course of said sparring session I managed to submit both of those guys (with an armbar and gogoplata individually). Now, these guys weren't going all out, but the Judo guy (Ryan) offered me a proper grappling match towards the end of the session. Yeah, he tapped be, but only after I almost got him in an armbar (again). In short, I think I've got some natural talent when it comes to submission grappling.
So yeah, enough boasting. I miss having a place to blog so I'm going to start posting more poetry/scripts/thoughts on SG.
Stay safe motherfuckers,
