At the behest of one miss venomlily, I've decided to actually try to keep up with a journal here...anyone who has seen my link to my livejournal knows how recently I've updated that.
Lessee...last night I hung out with the Kings of Leon. The best new club in town, the Meridian, had a double bill with Ambulance ltd opening for VHS or Beta on one end, and The Soundtrack of Our Lives opening up for the Kings on the other end. Originally I went to exclusively see Ambulance as I was told by an employee over the phone around 5 that VHS or Beta was opening up around 9.15. Yeah, didn't happen. I got in around 10 and I could hear Ambulance playing "Ophelia" which was probably THE song I wanted to hear the most. GRRRRR. So I get in and make my way to get a beer and I hear: "Yeah, this is our last song, VHS or Beta is up next!" GODDAMMIT!
Between the takedown and setup of Ambulance to VHS or Beta, I make my way over to the main room where Soundtrack of Our Lives is well into their set. God, I forgot how much those guys rock a live show. If you haven't picked up their new album I highly suggest you do so, it's LOVELY.
So, as I figured I see my former drummer there as he's a HUGE King's fan and since the guys at the Meridian have worked other clubs in town too, we made our way unquestioned to the VIP room where the Hoochie tail was thick in the air. Blech. I fucking hate groupies. But I got to hang out with some of the lads from both bands and a good time was had by all.
Jeez.
Do NOT expect posts like this to be a regular thing. I'm normally quite a hermit and this has been the most excitement I've seen in awhile.

Hermit. Me too. I try not to leave the house unless I have to. Too much shit outside to try and wade through usually.
