I've a new favorite word! Granted it's just one of my old favorite words with a prefix thrown on, but the fact that i saw it actually used in a sentence today just blows my mind! And that word is *drum role please*.....
Paradiddles!
Now for some context. This is a quote from http://www.thevanityset.com and is describing their drummer David Berger:
On the song "No Regrets" (on the new Vanity Set album Little Stabs of Happiness), Berger briefly revisits his past, albeit through percussive metaphor: responding to the lyrics with his drumming, he evokes the thrill of his original descent ("I go down for you, but my suit stays dry") and the bittersweetness of coming back up alone, although not entirely empty handed ("got to sniff glue but I didn't get you"). Thwarting every twist and turn, Berger supports the bridge, deftly navigates cliffhangers, and humbly paradiddles his way to the apotheosis of drum nirvana.
wow...does anyone share my utter joy about this?
