i'm glad today is over. i had to debate the modernization theory as it applies to NAFTA in sociology and mostly i just sat there blankly because i'm still not sure what all NAFTA entails, nor am i sure i'm actually on the modernization side. actually, i just don't care.
i worked too. that was alright.
has anyone seen scotland, pa? i just saw that movie the other night and enjoyed it immensely. very entertaining.
my sociology teacher is giving out ten points extra credit to anyone who watches "bowling for columbine" and writes a paper about it. with my exceptionally poor debate performance today, i'll probably really need that!

1)Having everything made with CHEAP labour
2)lending the eliet which run those country's in power by money they can't afford to pay back thus, increasing debt for each country in the continent
3) Since the Americans have a much more substantial amount of money to spend they justify NAFTA by stateing that Canada and South American countries are benifiting from the agreement by getting the jobs that are created by the demand of the American consumer. ( but this just creates a vicious circle that is hard to excape from)
anyway thats my Micheal Moor and Noem Chompsky rant for the day!(P.S avaoid this area of NAFTA, if you include it you risk failier of the assignment)
You must have a really killer prof to be getting points to watch Bowling for columbine! lucky girl!! You should also watch the rest of his movies before you do the paper on the BFC, (He hints at NAFTA type dogma in Roger and me, and the big one) and read his book called "Stupid White Men"
anyway enjoy your weekend
Later
