the bends is my favorite radiohead album. hands down.

did some very productive school things this evening, as well as hung out with julie in her lovely northglenn abode. i read her my poems. i still get really nervous about that sort of thing...having them exposed, if you will. and then we hopped in her hot tub. well. luke-warm tub. nobody likes a hot tub on a hot summers day.
funniest exchange of words between us as we sat in her backyard:
me: (gesturing to half turned over kids' table in yard.) there's a non-functional table in your yard.
julie: oh, it can be functional! but i like it that way. some people would call it white-trash. i call it art. ooh. and see our brush pile? yeah...lonnie and i are thinking of getting some snakes to put in it.
me: *puzzled* do you think they'll stay put?
julie: snakes like things like that....
me: i looked in the mirror the other day before i got in the shower and realized that only my neck is really tan. but not tan, red. i'm a redneck, in the literal sense...
julie: so you're a redneck and i have snakes in my brush pile...
