hard to believe that last weekend i was sitting outside and it was raining and and like fifty degrees and i was getting a headache from the cold. right about now, i wish i had some air conditioning.
went to boulder outdoor cinema BOTH NIGHTS this weekend. motorcycle diaries on friday night with shawna. i thought it would be difficult to see a subtitled movie there but i was wrong. i love gael garcia bernal more than words can express. last night i convinced my mom to see ET with me. haven't seen that since i was younger than the drew barrymore character. yes. the last time i saw it, she looked old to me. the crowd was much better at the motorcycle diaries. there were a gaggle of teens in front of us and more kept coming. then, right towards the end, two of them sharing a chair scooted it right in front of my head, obstructing the entire view of the screen. people with absolutely no consideration blow me away. bitches. i was thinking of flicking unpopped popcorn kernals at their head. but i didn't. damn my niceness!
here's my iron and wine song that has consumed my whole existence right now. coincidently the same day that there is a jezabel set up. don't look into it too much, no hidden meanings for me, just a very beautiful song.
Who's seen Jezebel
She was born to be the woman I would know
And hold like a breeze half as tight as both eyes closed
Who's seen Jezebel
She went walking where the cedars line the road
Her blouse on the ground where the dogs were hungry, roaming
Sayin' wait
We swear we'll love you more
And wholly, Jezebel
It's we, we that you are for only
Who's seen Jezebel
She was born to be the woman we could blame
Make me a beast half as brave and be the same
Who's seen Jezebel
She was gone before I ever got to say
Lay here, my love, you're the only shape I pray to
Jezebel
Who's seen Jezebel
Will the mountain last as long as I can wait
Wait like the dawn, how it aches to meet the day
Who's seen Jezebel
She was certainly the spark for all I've done
The window was wide, she could see the dogs come runnin'
Sayin' wait
We swear we'll love you more
And wholly, Jezebel
It's we, we that you are for only
according to my literature teacher, this would be considered a repetend, where one line repeats itself throughout the whole thing. look at me! i'm learning!!!
