first off...can i just say i'm a little "thorntoned out" today.
for one, the finest of thornton come out to the subway for sandwiches on the weekends. the customers were being real bitches today. i generally try to play the role of cheerful sandwich artist but sometimes you have to give it right back to them.
i was going to meet my mom at the rec center today and on the way there she called and said there was nowhere to park because next to the rec center was...you guessed it...THORNTONFEST! so i ended parking my car far away and we checked out thorntonfest. as if i hadn't had enough of thornton at work...oh well...thorntonfest finally ended and we finally made it to the rec center and everyone lived happily ever after.
this morning on the way to work there was a rubbermaid container in the middle of the road so rather than running it over or swerving i went right over it! unfortunately, my car had a little less ground clearance than i anticipated and i ended up dragging this thing until i pulled off the road. it was wedged right under the middle of the bottom of the car! i had to use a long ice scraper to pry it out. i thought it was amusing, not to mention kind of scary so stored the mangled, partially melted container in the back of subway. i knew at nine this morning it was going to be a long, interesting day.
some lady who had about five or six little boys left one of her kids at subway. he went to the bathroom and i guess they all forgot about him and drove off. about 15 minutes later she must have realized her error because she came back of course, but at that point, the kid was terrified! that's definitely something that will scar him for the rest of his life. word of advice: when you forget a kid at a restaurant, you have too many.
thornton people are weird.

so anyways, yeah i hear the long story deal. and being a virgin isn't a big loser mark... i'm sure you're a rockstar!
yep, i was in the marines. and now they pay for school (kinda), which is why i can take 18 credits and live alone and not have a job, which rocks.
i really like the marines, but it was time to come get a degree. of course, it had ups and downs... i got medals for doing good stuff and busted down from sergeant to corporal for being bad... (of course it involved a girl... )
