Read-In week aka: Dan the inadvertent crusher of dreams

So this past thursday I participated in Read-In week at a local school. My friend Alena got me involved in this wonderful program. Yesterday I got to read to this bright, wide eyed, optimistic class of young grade 4's. And yesterday I destroyed their souls!

Hahahahaha I sense something bad happened to that teacher during her adolescence and shes vicariously  trying to get revenge through innocent children. But in her defense, when i read my emitot some of my childhood favorites I realised they are down right cold moral warnings eg oh no baby foal u didnt listen to your mommy now youve fallen and are going to die alone in the woods but in death turn into a unicorn....still should have listened to mom and youd still have a childhood...... beautiful illustrations tho.

I think you're right @emibot I loved the Last Unicorn movie as a kid and oh man is that story full of inappropriate stuff haha
