Suuuuper stoked about my new bike. My old bike got stolen last summer....or maybe it was the summer before. Damn. Anyway, I've been wanting a new bike ever since and when I found this track bike by The Heavy Pedal, I was sold. I love the triple triangle and super tight track geometry. The frame is aluminum and it has a carbon fork so it's insanely light. About 16lbs total. My last fixed gear/track bike was steel so it was closer to 22lbs. Anyway, I'm excited to get some riding time in on this thing. UPS totally fucked up the box it was shipped in so the frame is all chipped up on the right side, but I have a claim in and the shop insured it, so once they finalize it, I'll get a brand new bike. :D
I'm probably going to switch the drop bars for risers...even though this bike looks great with the track drops, the risers are way more comfortable. I've got some BMX style platform pedals on order and some pedal straps by Burro. Once I get everything all dialed in and I get my legs back, I'll probably take the brake off. But for now, I'll enjoy that my legs don't have to be my gears and my brakes. :)
I'll get some good pics once I get my replacement frame and get it all set up how I want it.
