So as i was driving home from visiting my aunt in her totally out of the way after care facility, after working with dogs for 8 hours, it turns out all the major roads to get home were closed, and i realized i was hitting E with 50 miles to drive to get home. So, i had to drive around clifton nj looking for an open gas station, all the while screaming at the idiots driving while being worried about running out of gas. I eventually find a station charging 2.75 for regular, but i said fuck it and went wild and filled it up.
Well, while getting lost trying to find a highway, i was driving on a back road when i see a little dog wondering the street. So, doing as any other good samaritan/ trained dog handler would do, i stop, get out my trusty lead, and convince the dog to come to me so i can capture it. Turns out there was a number on the collar, which i called, and apparently a little girl has been crying her eyes out for the past two days cause her doggie ran away. Turns out, no one who saw this dog wandering aimlessly for two strait days bothered to just check its collar. So, i brought the dog home to the little girl who proceeded to hug me and call me the best man in the world. I actually felt like an honest to god hero for a second.
So, i guess bad things can sometimes lead to something good, huh?
