I just read over the terms by which a model is hired for this site, and I have to say I'm shocked. Models hire their own photographers out of pocket and only might get paid for it? It's $500 if you're picked by member review, and you must leave your unpaid set up for 90 days. As a rough guess, fewer than one third of models get paid on the site.
Yes, models choose to show us their bodies, but that work should have value. It should have value all the time because SG charges monthly fees to see the images all the time. But SG will decide that such work deserves nothing if the "I loved it" is below, what, 95%? All the while those 95% of clients are paying monthly fees to this site for the privilege of seeing you. I know that models know the terms and conditions of the modeling agreement. But I didn't.
That is really harsh. What do they tell you to get you to agree to this? That you're empowered? Sorry but paying and doing work for no reward (and letting me jerk off to it) doesn't seem like empowered anyone to me. It sounds like dangling a carrot and getting you to dance just before yanking it away. There isn't a labor union in the world that would stand for this kind of unequal bargaining, so where is the empowerment?
I'd honestly like to know why women would pay to hire photographers and then do work, and expose themselves for 90 days, for no money.
If a photographer costs 100 or 200 dollars, and sets are only picked 1/4 of the time, then you have better odds at the casino.

Something that is driving me crazy about this site is that the lower part of the "SG" graphic is underneath the Girls/Boards links. Someone is sure getting rich from this stupid site.
