An amazing thing happened this last weekend. I went to my bio class (which meets on fri.) and ran into my old boss... which really isn't surprizing, seeing as he's the technician for the biolab, and anyway... he offered me my job back! superspiffy! I had left the job because I had the job through this thing where employment depended on my GPA, and my GPA slipped, and I lost my job. (I was SOOOOOOOOO distraught when I lost it)
So now he wants to hire me as regular staff, and that won't depend on my GPA! yay!
And all the staff there were happy to see me... which made me feel like I was... oh, not to be all sappy, but... like I was coming home, to people who I liked, and who liked me, and liked the same things I did, and would know what I was talking about if I started talking about gel electrophorisis.
I gotta quote myself for once:
First japaneese lesson:
Hai Sensei!
Saying, "Yes, teacher!" is a very important part of any student's vocabulary, and learning how to bow (or "bend over") is a very important part of saying "yes" to your teacher.
The best way to learn the bow is to have your teacher bend you over his desk at the proper angle while you practice saying, "Hai sensei! Hai! Hai! Hai!"
Lesson two: Saying "no."
