Ten years ago, my friend Rob went home to D.C. for the holidays and asked me to feed his fish while he was away. When he returned, his fish was floating in the bowl...apparently, I had overfed it.
Well, it has happened again. This time however, the fish belonged to my 3 year old neice, Katelyn. His name was Fin. I felt so bad and in a panic, went to the pet store and bought another fish to replace the one that died. I named him Fin II ...and hoped that she wouldn't know the difference.
But she's a smart little girl and there was no pulling the wool over her eyes. When she realized that the switcharoo had been pulled, she asked her dad what had happened to Fin. He explained to her that Fin had died...to which she responded, "Can we eat him for dinner?" Hahahahaha...
