I found an excellent job on-line today. Chem tech at UNCA. I'm definitely qualified for it, the money's good, and I'd get to be in a lab again. I miss being in a lab. A talks about her job, and I get jealous....

The job was only posted today, and I'm getting my application together really quickly, so I think I have a really good chance. I already wrote a letter, but I have to print out the actualy application and fill it out. I've already heard from two old profs who are going to write letters of referrence for me, so all is well. I really, really want this job, and I'm going to be crushed if I don't get it.

In other news, apparently the only present I'm getting for my birthday is money. Money is good and all, but since I don't celebrate holidays my bday has always been special. And this year my mom says she's just going to send me some money. I know I shouldn't complain, but money doesn't require any thought or effort. And I don't actually need it right now. According to my mother it'll give me "piece of mind," but the only thing that'll give me piece of mind right now is a job.
