I've applied for two more jobs today, and sent off a couple of e-mails to analytical testing companies. If they don't want to pay me, I'm thinking of getting a crappy part-time job and convincing a testing comp. to hire me as an un-paid intern. At least I'd be learning something interesting and useful. Working at Home Depot is not interesting or useful. Ok, maybe useful in that it'll give me cash so I won't starve. But definitely not interesting. Unless they let me drive the forklift and run over the customers... that would be sweet. Thought I'd probably only get to do that once.
Anyway, things are looking bad in the job market. Not that they've ever actually looked good. But if I don't hear from any place better, I'll go to Home Depot. I wonder if they pay $12/hr starting out like they do in VT and Michigan?

yuk working in home depot... i'd never pass the drug tests... the one in Chicago let's you run over people two or three times before they fire you, that's what I hear.
