Stopped reading Rosemary's Baby so I could read Grass For His Pillow, by Lian Hearn. It's the second in a series about an assasin in a fictional country, loosely based on ancient Japan. The writing isn't all that great but the story is very interesting. Very quick read - started it this morning and I'm almost half-way through.
Finished painting my mom's room today. It looks good, if i do say so myself. She didn't want me to pain all the walls because she didn't want to move all of her furniture. One of the walls didn't have any splotches on it, so I didn't paint that one. So there are diagonal lines running down one of the walls and above the door, where the old paint meets the new paint. Her idea - it actually turned out well. Now I have to finish painting over the water damage on the downstairs ceiling. And I have to move about a cord and a half of wood. That should keep me occupied.
I applied for a job at Brooks today. It would be nice to make more money. But I don't know if they can hire me, what with my sporadic hours at the vid store. I'll just wait to here from the Brooks people, and if they want to hire me I'll talk to the manager at my current place of employment. They either have to give me more hours, or regular ones so I can get a second job. Ah, the joy of working.
