I made it to Pittsburgh and back for xmas. Monday morning one of my roommates called me there and said that he was going to be driving through there and could he please crash on the floor. Pretty funny, since he and the girl I was visiting and I all went to the same school - mini reunion! He and his friend got into Pitt at about 2:30am. We talked for a bit, they went to bed, then A (girl I was visiting) had to go into work at 4am Tuesday morning. I went with her. She works in a bio lab, and her job involves cutting up human lungs. A guy with cystic fibrosis was getting a lung transplant, so she had to go in and get his bad lungs and dissect them. When we got there, the lungs were waiting for us. They were still warm. I helped cut part of them up. It was awesome. Bloody, and rather icky, but totally cool.
Now I'm home, on New Year's Eve, trying to decide if I want to go out. I could go to a party, but it's an hour away. I think I might go see a movie, then see if my roommate is home and wants to eat pizza, drink beer and watch movies all night.
