So, totally out of nowhere today I get this allergic reaction.
Here I am, sitting at work, minding my own business. I was typing away at my keyboard, and sort of absently touched my neck, and I felt odd little bumps. Lots of them. And a few hours later, I can feel them on my face. You can't really notice them, like they aren't red and freaky or singing the Ave Maria or anything, but if you look, my skin looks really uneven.
So, like, WTF?
I manage to make it through puberty without so much as the tiniest bout of acne, and by age 24 I get funny skin allergies all the time.
I used to romp through all sorts of chemicals with reckless abandon. Then suddenly I couldn't use permanant hair dye without a trip to the emergency room. Last month, I stayed at the hospital for three days because I used blue mascara. I've worn makeup since third grade and this never happened back then.
And today, I can't just sit at my desk without having my skin rebel on me.
Goddamn toxic world.
