BACK FROM COACHELLA...
It was f'n awesome. While there were not as many bands that I wanted to see as there were last year, it ended up being a better year. The weather was beautiful, and the organization of the festival, especially the camping area, was a lot better.
top 10 bands this year:
1. Nine Inch Nails [of course]
2. K-OS
3. Wilco
4. the Chemical Brothers
5. Bauhaus
6. New Order [would have been 2 had they not been impaired by Bernards injury. I assume it was the pain that made him forget lyrics.]
7. The Faint
8. Gang Of Four
9. Swayzak [never heard of them but they were good live]
10. the crazy people doing the drum thing. [I think they had a name but I can't remember it. They played on a super small stage with a 15 foot tall ball made of steel beams with drums and drum triggers mounted all over it.]
Cali was amazing in general. #1 on my list of things to do with my life is to move there.
other interesting things I did in cali:
Ate Mexican food nearly every meal. Damn fine Mexican food even.
Went to the Dresden for a night of drunken fun.
Went to a taping of a pilot with Melanie Griffiths in it. It was written by the Will and Grace douches and it was even worse.
Saw 2 pacific ocean sunsets.
Spent an entire afternoon perusing the selection at Amoeba Records. Damn what a selection.
I may have accidentally insulted Trishelle from the Real World at a restaurant by proclaiming "Isn't that the slut from the real world?" too loudly.
Got High.
Repeated the following rap lyric on many occasions: "Long Beach Inglewood, Whoopty Whoop Nigga What"

niobe:
Glad you are home safe and I am glad you had a good time.
niobe:
You love me? Why? What did I do? And what is that I need to do?
