i can barely see the mountains today
the peaks are covered in a white shroud
as if in a burial procession
it is a burial
it is the snow driven from peak to peak
by gale force winds
blanketing all before it
so cold
afraid to stop because i might freeze
afraid to go on because it is so frigid
Feb. 17th update
-28 degrees with wind chill last night. had to get an engine block heater installed, supposed to be -30 actual tonight.
AND: a public apology to someone I respect. I did not mean to patronize you, I would never intentionally insult you. I hold your intelligence and intellectualism in very high regard. Communication is difficult in this forum as we have only symbols to work with. Would that I could meet with you personally to express my sorrow.
7:30 pm Mountain Time: according to the National Weather Service the windchill will be around -50 tonight. I just plugged the car in. Please let no one have a heart attack tonight.
