So, as I sit here drunk in my apartment...lonely...I cam to this realization.....
Now, I have a Myspace account, but IMHO, only SG people might understand this, maybe I'm wrong and nobody will understand this.
I recently moved out on my own at the beginning of this month. It's been a time of great financial strain and emotional mixed feelings. I love being out on my own, but now I'm starting to feel very lonely. Everyone has things going on and I feel like I am left behind.
Now, don't get me wrong, I've gone out and tried to meet new people, but it just goes nowhere. The bar scene will never work for me, as I'm too "weird" for any girl to take a chance on at first impression.
So I decided to sign up for eHarmony, a popular dating site. I spent a lot of time thoughttfully answering the questions. At the end, after all the questions and essays were finished, It said that I would see my matches on the next page.
Nothing.
No matches.
No big deal.
Until my buddy (who is like a brother to me) says something that he supposedly said before but I never listened. He said something that now makes me scared. Maybe it's because I'm out on my own now and am more lonely than ever. Maybe it's because I'm 28 (will be on Dec 5th) and have never been in a relationship. Maybe it's because I still have some morals lurking in the back of my messed up head from all those years of Catholic school. He said this.....
I'm not compatible with anyone.
"Honestly, how many girls listen to Slayer or BLS our age?" he asks.
He continues, "How many girls dress like they just came from a 80's metal concert everyday? How many girls our age don't want to think about kids right now?"
Ok, I understand this. But my response has always been, "If she doesn't like the way I dress, look, or act, then fuck her, she ain't worth it." But I've been saying that for so long, I'm starting to doubt whether I really can find the one girl who is willing to accept me for who I am
I mean seriously, I am so intimated by the opposite sex that I haven't even asked a girl out in at least 8 or 9 years.
I'm to the point now where I'll be happy if i can get a girl to consent to having sex with me without any strings attached, and without me having to pay for it. And, that's one thing I refuse to do is pay for it.
Maybe I'm looking for a clone of myself to date, I dunno. The bar scene isn't working, and I can't stand the music they play at clubs (mostly because I wear hearing aids and can't hear jack shit when someone is talking to me). I'm willing to try the internet dating scene again, but everything on the net seems so friggin fake now more than ever.
Maybe I'll become a priest or something...
Oh wait.....I'm too evil for that. Heaven doesn't want me and Hell's afraid I'll take over.
Sometimes I think I'm doomed to be a virgin and single for my whole life.
