Saw Duran Duran last night. Ai Hot! They played all the oldies but goodies. "Girls on Film, " "Rio," and "Hungry Like the Wolf." I enjoyed the setting emensly. It was held at the Memorial Auditorium in Sac which has seating that is somewhat like that of an old opera house. Above the stage is a glimmering painting that arches like a rainbow before your view of the band. When the light catches it, which often happens, a humbling golden presence is felt across the auditorium.
The band has aged and couldn't hit all the high notes, but they still held the crowd in the palm of their hands. The energy was flowing, and outside in the halls people wore supprised looks on their faces. The show stoppers for me were "White Lines," "Come Undone," and "Crystal Ship." It was a great show.
It would be cool if someone did a post of the SG's they would like most to see in a multiple set. Here is my top 5 list of who I would love to see. Not in order. SG's only.
1. Apnea&Katie
2. Katie&Voltaire
3. Valentina&Erzsebet
4. Andromeda&Zui
5. Lola&Sicily
The list could easily go on, but I want to hear yours. Also, list who your ultimate combo would be.
