The reality of working with some of society's misfits, undesirables and refugees definitely has its moments.
I just returned from a beer run to Total Wine where I picked up some

and some

As I was checking out a cute but disheveled brunette girl behind me noticed me back up and step onto the rack that holds the candy bars and other you-never-would-have-boight-it-unless-you-had-to-stand-next-to-it rack. "Wow, this aisle is narrow," I said. "Yeah... well, it better be or else we're in trouble," she joked. Just then the grungy guys in front of us got carded and were complaining about it. "Uh, oh," I said. "Looks like they're going to card us. Think you'll be okay?" I smiled and pulled out my ID. "Yeah," she said, "Let me see your picture." She looked at my pic and giggled as she pulled out her own. "Here's mine, I got the picture taken right after I got out of prison." She giggled again and then said "my TASC number is written on this sticker on the back."
For the record, I have to send some of the kids on my caseload to TASC. Not exactly a good pickup line. Classy girl though. I have a thing for ex-cons who drink while being drug screened. Think I should call her?
I ask myself: Self, what would aldremech do...?

a friend of mine did something similar in his final project. He drew a love story (took him 4-5 month), frame by frame to make a 5 minutes animation out of it in the end. It also involved real characters and they morphed into each other. nothing new but I am amazed how some people have so much patience.
