It’s the time of year where people turn their thoughts to good deeds and giving to others.
It is a time to give thanks for what we have and I do wish for us all to take a minute to do that
In the spirit of @rambo’s assignment I wanted to raise this question: when did good deeds, giving to others and frankly giving a damn about people become a seasonal thing?
How did we let this happen?
Every damn day I listen to stories of people doing the right thing with commentary as to how extraordinary this was and I want to scream.
I believe in my soul that humans are by nature good and kind. Why the hell did we stop being that way to each other as a rule and not as a one off event?
Yeah I get this sounds like a rant but it is something that really bothers me every day. I know I do not always help everyone that I see who needs it but I at least try to help people, most of the time to be questioned as to why or wth am I doing.
That hasn’t changed me and I intend to keep doing it, I just want to encourage others to do the same.
