Hmmm SG journal, not been here for a while... oops
So what's been going on in my life for the last couple of months?
Quite a bit actually! for the few weeks i've been sorting out a new place to live. Am moving in with two really good friends this week am really looking forward to it. It's weird, I've known the guys for almost four years but i've only really got to know them properly recently and we had this weird kind of bond that formed. Feels like we've been mates for years. It's mad for me to suddenly go from acquaintances to being the kind of mates you know will be for life.
Learned a lot of things about myself recently and I strangely feel more content and confident than I have for years. Considering the recent upheaval in my life, it's almost disturbing. I guess what you could say is that it was a well needed shake up that reminded me who i really am, when I think I might just have forgotten.
Anyway bollocks to all that. More importantly, prior to recent events, I spent a month in Japan. WOW! What a country, beautiful scenery, beautiful women ;-) beautiful weather, beautiful food. I seriously did leave my heart in Japan. I got to get back there as soon as possible. I'm even thinking of giving up on Engineering and becoming an English teacher over there. I mean I'd be poor in comparison to my life over here but fuck me I really think I'd love it.
So I spent my month in Hiroshima, mainly working my balls off but it was great. I could finish work at midnight, go to a bar, sink some Asahi then go and get Sashimi at three am. A bit better than the old kebab after a night out lol. I got a chance to go all around the Seto Inland Sea at he weekends which was wonderful. Got some serious photography done I went to Miyajima Island which has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen and of course I saw Hiroshima itself.
Hiroshima is a wonderful place. Don't get me wrong, it's no Tokyo, but considering its history, it's one hell of a place. I got a chance to go to the Peace Memorial Museum, shit that place almost made me hurt physically. If there was ever something to discourage nuclear weapons, it's that place. I'd challenge anyone to go in there and come out without feeling truly shaken.
I could rave on about Japan all night, but I really should do some more packing and have a shower because all this packing is atarting to make me smell a bit lol.
Catch you all later.
