So it's time for mt first journal entry.
Not sure what to write about but I've been ordered by my other half to start writing stuff
I had a bit more work done on my right arm yeserday, so am still a bit tender now. I'm very happy with how the work is progressing as I had several small tats there already and what I needed to achieve was something to add flow down the arm. I want to keep the levels of fill a bit lower than is planned for my left arm and leave a bit more flesh showing. I already have a Joshua tree, a Navayoni yantra and an arabic proverb on the lower arm in black so adding flowin g elements posed me a challenge. I've started having a swarm of black scarab beetles crawling around my other pieces. The idea came from the movie "The Mummy" because I thought the nasty little, flesh-eating buggers in that were really cute and I liked the way they swarmed. Plus I like the symbolsm held by scarabs. I'm going to have the swarm extended further up the arm so that it will meet with the much heavier work that is being done on my upper arm and shoulder (which in turn will blend into my back work and other sleeve). Everything is still very much in an intermediate state, my arm still doesn't have enough coverage I wish I could find a way to heal quicker lol. I'll post some pics up later when I get them taken. Just please remember this is not the finished article, the shading I'm having around each distinct piece has not yet been started and a few bits are still looking a bit bare.
Think I might go in for a session on my back later this week. Unfortunately My next few sessions are powerlining and adding the outines for the individual chamelion scales (yes each scale will be outlined and coloured seperately) so that's a lot of outline and I'm going to be quite sore lol.
Nevermind, I reckon I'll have my back and both sleeves finished in about a year
