What I want in a a Pope...

-- someone from Africa or South America, where Roman Catholicism is growing

-- someone who will deal with the ala carte Catholicism of the US church

I lived in Westport from age 6 to age 8. We lived in a huge three story home my great grandparents had built from the ground up right next to the river. It was so beautiful. Then some big corporation bought the whole block and we moved to Georgetown.

I remember right after they demolished it, just out of pure morbid curiousity, we went back to the where the house had been, and I cried because I saw one of the window panes was on top of the rubble unbroken. I had put one of those eighties rainbow heart stained glass stickers on it a few weeks before. It made me so sad to see it sitting there like that.

My mom moved us all over the place when I was a kid- searching for utopia I guess. Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Cali, Connecticut.

Well, there you go. Welcome to PRockG's friends list. Asking me anything can result in a novella, rather than the short answer you were probably looking for. wink
