It's been a while since I updated...

Last weekend I ran the sound board for Gaia Consort at a house concert. It was a night of great music. Their next performances are at PolyCamp in Redmond, WA, July 16th and FaerieWorlds Festival in Eugene, OR, July 23rd

Life is proceeding...slowly getting better...

I really need more practise at parties.

I had dinner with the lovely rhanarose last night. Refreshing to see another SG member closer to my age...older even smile

Ageism...It certainly seems to be alive and well on SG. I tend to be fairly age-blind and hang out with people ranging from mid-20s to mid-40s on a regular basis. It feels odd to be excluded from the Regional group in Seattle for being too...

There are several safety issues regard phone numbers and home addresses with the Seattle regional group, so as a group everyone is very concious of who is allowed access. There have been problems in the past that no one wants to see again. Assumptions like this are why the regional group I'm in is considered "full of assholes".

I can not speak for Freckle as I am not the groups owner, but this is just my .02.

Tonight I go to see Serenity, the movie based on Joss Whedon's Firefly. This is the second preview showing in Seattle, and was sold out on Fandango less than 2 hours after tickets became available (and about 3 hours before the official announcement was made).

The first showing was 10 cities. This showing is 20 cities...all sold out the day the tickets were made...

Once again I'm a poly person with no partners. My girlfriend has too much going on in her life--husband, live-in girlfriend, and new classes she needs to take to improve her work--and she doesn't have the emotional bandwidth for me any more.

At the end of last summer I was closer to priority 2... Lately I've been 4th, if that high...

What first was a cold spread to an ear infection (got antibiotics) and has wound down to the Cough From Hell....

This thing just will not let go....ugh.

Other than that things are mixed for me. My girlfriend (she's married and poly) has decided she doesn't have enough time for me, so our relationship is changing. Staying friends, perhaps more...

Work has been intruding into my posting time...so an update:

Norwescon was lots of fun. I went to several panels and the costuming there can get quite outr. Lots of nice eye candy.

One panel was on Saturn, and the things the Cassini Huygens probes are finding out. Lots of nice pictures. You can see a lot about Saturn at Nasa's web site

So... I made it to the gym todya...and was actually able to workout! Yay me!

Of course, too many nights of too little sleep and a week away made for a tired me at the end.

Ah, well... I'm planning to go again tomorrow!
